Visitors to the Immigration and Citizenship Section are accepted by appointment only.

Lodging a visa application

Applications for Jordanian, Iraqi and Syria citizens must be lodged at the Australian Embassy in Amman.

If you are a citizen of another country, you may be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) or apply for an ETA on the Internet.

Visa Application Charges (Fees)

For applications lodged with the Amman Visa Office, application fees are payable in Jordanian Dinars in Cash only.  Sponsors can also pay at any DIAC office in Australia.

Medical Examinations

All permanent entry applicants and students are required to undergo a medical examination with an Embassy Panel Doctor. 

In addition, visa applicants who will be in a classroom environment or are over 70 years of age will be required to undergo a medical examination by a Panel Doctor.

If you need to undertake a medical examination you will be required to visit one of these doctors in Jordan, Iraq or Syria
