Australian Citizenship By Descent - Requirements
Please submit the following documents at time of lodgement. Note that the processing period is 28 days. We will not respond to status enquiries within this time.
1. Application Form number 118
2. Certified copy of Birth Certificate of Child
3. Certified copy of Marriage Certificate of Parents
4. Certified copy of Family Census book
5. Letter or Birth certificate signed by the delivering doctor and the hospital
*All the above documents should be translated by a legal translator and authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
6. Certified copy of Australian citizenship certificate or passport of one or both parents
7. Certified copy of passport if one parent is not Australian
8. Application should be signed and supplementary sheet filled
9. Police check for all applicants aged 18 and over from all countries where the applicant has resided in the past 10 years (except Australia)
10. Fee to be paid only in Jordanian Dinars; OR if fee is paid at an Immigration office in Australia, please attach the pink copy of the receipt
11. Evidence of change of name if the parent has changed name
12. Death certificate if a parent is deceased (translation authenticated).
13. Divorce certificate if one of the parents has previous marriage.
